I'm an idiot. Waited too long for that and missed the boat.
Aurgh! Doesn't seem to cover it.

Job search still going on. I had my grad ceremony on Friday and am now officially Algonquin Alumni. I've also signed up for their referral services for getting a job. Here's praying that something comes out of it.
In other news: The Airbender teaser is out - The Last Airbender Teaser
I could be fan nickpicky with this, but I'll keep quiet. I'm really going to wait to see if I like it or not. Some people are yelling "Boo-urns" already, but I say it's a little too early to do so.

I just went driving for the first time today.
And I mean driving. Last Thursday was the first time behind the wheel, and that didn't really count, because parking lots don't count.
Have a friend, of whom I'm doing some graphic design work for them, offer their car and calm demeanor to help me learn out to drive. Started off in the parking lot today and gave one of my dad's old friends a heart attack just seeing me behind the wheel. After puttering around in the parking lot, getting a feel for the different vehicle, we left the lot and went on a road that is 80km/h max. Big change from 20km/h and going around in circles.
Roundabouts are interesting... especially in residential areas.
I drove home after a while, and no incident.
It's going to be a good day.

It's been a busy weekend and beginning of the week.
Helped a friend last week to organize stuff for a garage sale that was happening on Saturday. The carrying I didn't mind, but there were far too many stairs while carrying the heavy things. The garage sale went well, so at least all the moving wasn't a waste.
After that, we went to pick up CC and went out to Swiss Chalet for supper. It was fun and both CC and Swoops got along well. That night, CC and I started a Avatar: The Last Air Bender marathon, because the only A:TLA he had seen was at Anime North two years ago and it was the end of S2 IIRC. (Drew informed me that both of my nieces have completed Book One now. Bean was worried where Zuko was taking Aang at the end of S1. So cute.)
Next day was Bluemuse's Wedding. The weather co-operated and everything went smoothly. The ceremony had to have been one of the shortest I've ever attended; I think it was over within a half hour. Saw Julia and Nick for the first time since they got married two years ago and caught up with them. Also saw DWG who was down just for the wedding. Wish she could have stayed longer, but she had Co-op to work at, and an hour requirement to fulfill.
During the dance at the reception, CC - against his better judgment - danced to ABBA. Mwahahahaha... I did too. *hangs head in shame*. I was in the group for the last to leave. It was really fun, even though Bloo and hubby left a bit earlier. There was a candy buffet!
Sunday, Swoops helped out again with getting CC to the Bus station. CC had lost his wallet and we feared it had continued onto Montreal. He didn't get around to calling Greyhound before heading back to TO.
After dropping him off, I went back to Swoops' house to fill up the car with the garage sale remnants and in the process of putting the backseat down, CC's wallet was found.
I've had a few bits of Graphic Design work here and there, but nothing solid. Last night, I designed two business cards and applied to an illustration job listed at the College. I get more done without the 'rents here. Loving it.
Mailed CC's wallet today, as well as got some food stuff. I plan to make chili tonight to go with the flat bread I bought today. One of the very few ways I can guarantee that I eat healthy. Also got a cream of chicken soup can to make some alfredo sauce later. Too many of my friends are allergic to the mushroom one.

I've been meaning to update this for a couple of weeks, but every time I'd open the window, I'd either forget about it or the drive to update it just died.
( Of Life... )
( And other stuff )
In other news, Bluemuse is getting married this coming Saturday. CC is staying here for accomidations and we're both going to the ceremony and the reception. Last thing I heard, Julia-Cat was coming as well with her husband. Hopefully the wedding has nice weather.

It's official. I'm done college. Wow, this feels weird. Handed in my last assignment on Friday, and celebrated by crashing on the couch.
Yesterday, went to a funeral of a semi-distant and older cousin that always reminded me of Santa Claus. Afterwards, I met up with a friend, and we saw Wolverine.
Before the movie, we ventured into the dangerous stores consisting of HMV, Future Shop and Chapters. I finally got The Dark Knight and The Bourne Trilogy, and the two-disk edition of V for Vendetta. I nearly got the second and third books in the Avatar series, but they were a touch more than what I was willing to pay for, so they remained on the shelf. I wept inside.
Shayde found Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which sounds completely awesome, even though I can't stand Jane Austin.
( Wolverine Talking Goes Back Here to Avoid Spoilers for You Nice Folks )
Very fun movie. Will definitely buy it when it comes out. Hopefully the two disk version.
Now the job search continues.

I slept downstairs to listen for Bean in case she was sick again. Just once more and then all was quiet. Watched a bit of Mythbusters of which I didn't make it through and fell asleep.
I had written a note stating that I was helping with the sickies, and that I most likely wouldn't be going to church today. So when I did wake up (noon), seeing as I didn't make it to church on Easter, I figured I'd look for a message on tv. I flicked to one that followed this thought process:
[Scene - in the background there was a setup of the bridge of the original Enterprise and a guy that had a Yellow Officer uniform on.] Oh, Star Trek. That's not Kirk. ... He's talking about the fall of the Devil from Heaven?!
It was a preacher, dressed up in a ST shirt "uniform" and doing his message. I literally blinked more than a few times to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. Then I went to get Drew who was on the phone with her mother-in-law. Grabbed her the cordless, cause I didn't know how much longer the message was going to be on. When Drew saw it and was stunned too.
I grabbed a new VHS tape, and got most of the message. Drew is planning on buying the dvd of the message when she can. The kicker, the message was titled "The Wrath of Khan".
This Easter will go down in memory as one of the oddest starting.

Drew is here again this weekend, cause Ruggy is working nights this weekend. Been having a good time so far, but she hasn't been feeling well, and then today Bean didn't eat supper tonight. And you know Bean isn't feeling well when she leaves the "jello" (Cranberry jelly) barely untouched.
After the kids went to bed, we heading out for the evening for a few errands, and I ended up picking up Avatar: The Burning Earth, Sly 2: Band of Theives, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves and a multi-movie dvd set of The Matrix.
I know it's the 10th anniversary of The Matrix and I still haven't seen the third installation. And yes I know, I've heard it before from many sources, I'm not missing much, but I personally can't stop in the middle of a trilogy. Given, I wasn't overly impressed with Reloaded [seemed insanely long], but I've only seen it once so far. Maybe another go with it might change my mind. Also, the only version of The Matrix I do have, is VHS. One of the last tapes I purchased. Haha!
( Sickness details - skip if so desired. )
With all that being said, I hope I don't get sick with whatever this is. All of Drew's family has had it in one form or another and now it's officially moved to this house. Guess I should get plenty of sleep then, and I did get some vitamins today, so here's hoping those help.

I just ordered my new wacom tablet 6x8. I can't get the newer one because I haven't budgeted for it, but I'm sure once I get a steady job, then I can get a second one. ("What are these computer mice you speak of?")
I can't wait to start digitally painting again!

I just got handed a pair of tickets to go see the Sens game tonight against Boston.
Looks like I have plans tonight after all. :D
Edit: We won.

Just pulled into the driveway, and nearly got hit by some jackass who was going too fast. He claims to be going 40KM/h, but I know my street and 40 feels like you're crawling. Noone drives forty on this road, so don't claim that you were. Then what does he do? Stops at the end of our driveway, waits for us to get out of the car, and shouts at us through his open passenger window. Stating he had to slam on the breaks. Well, if you had to slam on your breaks, you weren't going 40Km!

Found out this week that I am not the complete slave labour. I got paid. *boggle* I can finally get the tablet that I nearly got at Christmas, but ran out of money for.
Also got some games that I can cross off my PS2 game list.
Jak and Dexter
Jak II
Jak III
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
I picked them up today during lunch. I couldn't stay in the cubical for very much longer without falling asleep, so I walked to the near-by mall complex... thing, and checked out the EB Games. W00t.
I need to finish Phantom Hourglass that I borrowed from a friend of mine, but I seriously hate the time limited dungeon. Hate it with a passion, almost to the point that I don't want to play it. And you don't even get the three days like Majora's Mask or the ability to slow it down.
Hate. Dungeon. Repeated visits. *twitch*

Drew visited this weekend, so we had fun. Started thinking about working on Fellowship of the Urn again. [That is in desperate need of an update].
Got together with Shayde this weekend and did some DS to DS in a Second Cup downtown on Saturday. She had just got Animal Crossing: Wild World and she wanted to be able to unlock the two floor store, which requires outside help. We also traded a lot of items that the other didn't have [I got a coffee maker now!] and generally just ran around in each other's towns. After that, she came over to meet Drew (they had met online n Dofus but never IRL) and she also did some wire wrapping stone for Drew as well.
Also, later that evening, while trying to organize my desk, I found my passport. It had been missing/misplaced since the end of February. There's a very slight chance that I can go to Japan this fall for about two months, and I was seriously hoping that I wouldn't have to apply for another passport (the first one went through the wash and then got lost). I had thought that I lost it at school because I had had it from applying to get my license, and that was the last place I clearly remembered having it. I was feeling very happy that night; load of my shoulders.
Missed the pre-reg for Anime North this year, which is to be expected since I have less money than usual, and was very occupied with other things at that time. Finding a CO-OP placement was a little bit more important than the anime con this year. I'll just have to bring something to entertain myself for the lineup that is probably going to be far too long to be a happy place.
Finally started drawing again. Need to start practicing on objects now and not just human figures.
Last night I helped a friend, who had just moved into a basement apartment on the weekend. My payment was Harvey's. (Yes, I can be bought with food). She needed to organize as well as move boxes so that the set-up process could begin. We got all the furniture of her office laid out to her temporary satisfaction, and started unpacking some of her many, many boxes containing all of her books. We stopped at 9:30pm for cake because her upstairs neighbour was going to bed around that time and she didn't want to make so much noise as to get the dogs riled up and make them bark. I'll most likely go over again on the weekend to set up another room. We got a lot more done last night than she thought we would, so she was extremely pleased. I was just happy I could help, because it meant I didn't have homework to do, which is still a new concept for me.
Lunch Time!

Co-op is going well enough. It's not very challenging, but I guess right now, it'll do. The good news is I don't hate it, or dread going in every morning.
Bad thing is that when I'm half awake and half asleep (in the process of waking up), I dream about designing ads that don't exist. It's very tiring, that I think it may take longer for me to wake up than normal.
